Zeos -7.2.4 Installation Error

I just got Lazarus up and running and tried to install Zeos.

Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]

1. Build IDE: Exit code 512, Errors: 1
2. lazarus.pp(1,1) Fatal: Cannot find lazcontroldsgn used by Lazarus. Check if package LazControlDsgn creates lazcontroldsgn.ppu, check nothing deletes this file and check that no two packages have access to the unit source..

I verified that lazcontroldsgn is installed (by default).

Check if package LazControlDsgn creates lazcontroldsgn.ppu

I don't find this file - lazcontroldsgn.ppu - on my hard drive.  Is there something else I need to do to get zeos to install?

I recommend to you, use the search function of this forum As I see this is known problem. Look this.

Thanks, totya. And I am using the search here. I have a lot of windows to the forum open right now chasing down all the issues i'm having.

Have you tried Online Package Manager? It is a great tool to help you instal packages:
Lazarus main menu > Package > Online Package Manager

If your Lazarus has become messy, you need to complete uninstall them:
01. Uninstall lazarus, fpc, fpc-src
02. Delete ~/.lazarus
03. Delete /etc/fppkg (folder)
04. Delete /etc/fp.*
05. Delete /usr/share/fpcsrc (folder)
06. Delete /usr/lib/fpc (folder)
07. Delete /usr/bin/ppc*
and then reinstall the FPC, FPC-Source and Lazarus
