Hi,

I recently noticed that LAMW had appeared in the Online Package Manager in the Lazarus IDE plugin as being available since 2018 05 16, and I wanted to ask please how this would fit into the descriptions given in http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/LAMW for installation from scratch (I'm on Windows).

1. Is there a new work flow for installation of the whole LAMW thing (SDKs - everything), or does the Package Manager just replace certain steps in http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/LAMW now?

2. Also is it possible to safely choose something other than C: for the installation(s) of other things required please?

Some of it might seem very obvious, but experience teaches to ask first on these kind of issues - or potentially end up having to do a lot of 'clean up' on your Lazarus etc installation(s)  :(

TIA

Paul

some builder (ant/gradle) ... What is your system? [win or linux or Mac ???]

Thanks jmpessoa,

I'm on Windows.

I was wondering...

1. Is there a new work flow for installation of the whole LAMW thing (SDKs - everything), or does the Package Manager just replace certain steps in http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/LAMW now?

2. Also is it possible to safely choose something other than C: drive for the installation(s) of other things (SDKs etc) required please?

Yes,  I think you can try this tutorial [with some changes...]:

Looks like that is pretty focused on Linux, I'll have a good read...

Needed simple instructions to get an up-to-date Android build environment setup on Linux.

I was planning to try and follow the original wiki entries Windows Section:

 http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/LAMW#How_to_install_on_Windows

 - just wanted to be sure on how to use the Lazarus Package Manager in terms of when and what steps it replaces now in that wiki entry.

Thanks,
Paul
