Problems with components instalation
« on: July 29, 2018, 03:26:15 pm »
When I try to install components, the compilation happens. But when I install it there is an error in the build of lazarus.
I made a video demonstrating the situation.

hola,
suggesting:
a. upgrade to Lazarus 1.8.4 if no issues with your components
b. switching to Linux Mint 19 XFCE. at least Linux Mint 19 does not spy on people like Ubuntu.
c. installing components using Online Package Manager
Lazarus 2.0.2 64b on Debian LXDE 10

You did not show the error message that appeared when the recompilation of Lazarus failed within the Lazarus.pp. But I guess that something is wrong with your Lazarus installation; the easiest solution probably is to install it again.

Have you tried installing PowerPDF using Online Package Manager? It installed easily using Online Package Manager on my test on my Ubuntu Mate 18.4 Lazarus 1.8.4:

Lazarus main menu > Package > Online Package Manager > on the search box, type: pdf > select it and click Install and you will be asked to rebuild the IDE
