Documentation?
« on: September 28, 2018, 02:50:44 pm »
Is there documentation for the android tool sets? I have looked through the demos and to be frank some are beyond my programming level at present. Sources of information are severally limited or I would not bother you fine folk.

Thanks to all the people that make this Lazarus and Freepascal possible.

Hi, pfms!

At the moment, you can learn by studying "demos/GUI" code...
There is practically a demo for each component....

The fpc  documentation is  extremely good.
Specialize a type, not a var.

Maybe, but it is not enough to design good Android app, using typical sensors or Communication interfaces of an Android system as Lamw already includes

Err, then why do I see so many bug reports in the bug tracker filed in the category “documentation”? I mean, they're solved, but every month new ones are reported.

Also – I can't tell you how many times I've combed through the sources – but we got lots of stuff already prepared in the RTL, FCL and otherwise packaged. If you have to glean documentation though, just to get things started, this is no fun.
Yours Sincerely
Kai Burghardt
