Google announced recently, that it will discontinue Google+ in the next months. Thus our little Free Pascal / Lazarus community on Google+ will unfortunately be closed, too.
I know that the majority of Free Pascal users is very active and helpful in this forum. But nevertheless I'm reasoning if it would be worth the effort, to migrate the Google+ community to another open and federated network.
What the forum lacks (in my opinion) is the usability and the opportunity to get a quick impression what is going on in the world of Free Pascal / Lazarus development. I really like the way how the community stream in Google+ works.
What is your opinion on that? Would you have a look at another community or are you satisfied with one forum? It would like to point out, that such a community should be just an addition to the forums (like the Google+ community was), not a replacement (which it never could be).
Thanks for your thoughts
