Indy installation error
« on: November 03, 2018, 06:36:14 pm »
I'm trying to install Indy via Online Package Manager and get the following error:

Unable to create file "....\1sink.jpg"

I'm using Lazarus 2.0 RC2 x64 and Windows 10 64 bits.

it looks to me like a huge name (aka to many directories) or not enough disk space.

When I compare my installed (and working) Windows 7/64 Indy10 package to reported problem I can see a small difference -
my file "sink1.jpg" is (apart from another) in the directory: "C:\Users\giova\AppData\Local\lazarus\onlinepackagemanager\packages\~Indy10\Core\Res\Maint".
("giova" part replaced my name - of course).
The difference is between "Indy10" and "~Indy10". It may be a problem with roots in Lazarus 2.0 RC2 or (less possible) in MS Windows 10.

I changed the directories of the Online Package Manager, and the installation was done without problems.
