Text User Interface Designer
« on: March 18, 2019, 12:22:59 pm »
Hey,
are there any tools to create a text-ui with FPC/Delphi? ($mode Delphi and for Windows & Linux)
If possible a RAD would be nice  ;)

Thanks.

I don't know for Delphi, but for FPC, FreeVision: it's what is used to build the text-mode IDE. Or you could try looking for adapted copies of Turbopower's Object Professional (there were some for Virtual Pascal).

RAD tools for that, though, are so scarce in the ground so as to be inexistent. Much more so since the big DOS ftp repositories (Simtel, Garbo, etc.) started dissapearing.

https://ftp.sunet.se/mirror/archive/ftp.sunet.se/pub/simtelnet/

see turbovis directory.

That's just one of the (very few) mirrors still live, like nephtys.lip6.fr for Garbo, but the repositories themselves are dead so the mirrors will not be updated anymore. Which is a pity, what with FreeDOS getting some traction, etc.

I hoped that there is maybe an easier way or how does someone program setup tools which work via SSH connection?
Would be cool to have support for that in Lazarus  :D
